The world in brackets. Hume and Husserl.

This event took place on January 21 at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. It was held within the framework of the exhibition "This is not a Book", where, along with exhibits of modern art, the first editions of philosophical treatises were exhibited, among which great names - Descartes, Kant, Hobbes, Leibniz, Hume and Husserl. It is the latter two that this event is dedicated to. The ideas of Hume and Husserl showed the closest connection between consciousness and our basic ideas about the world.


The co-director of the Center, a corresponding member of RAS, speaks about Hume. RAS V.V. Vasiliev, A. A. Kostikova, Head of the Department of Philosophy of Language and Communications of the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University, tells about Husserl.
